Istikharah is Means advice with allah. Man’s intellect and supply are very limited. If we make our own decisions, maybe one in a thousand tasks will be accomplished. And similarly if we want to start or end a business or if there is an issue where our thinking does not work as if a person wants to start a business and his thinking and knowledge is limited to the beginning of the business.

Are And they are unaware of the problems ahead and the troubles and benefits of the future. So in such a situation when man does not see any way forward. So in such occasions we should turn to Allah because Allah Almighty is our Creator and Master and He is the only Creator of our past, present and future. If we consult the Creator who knows our advantages and disadvantages.

In short, Istikharah is a mustahabb action before any work. There is no harm in doing it. And Istikharah is proven by the hadiths. It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to enjoin Istikharah on all matters in the same way as he used to recite the injunctions of the Quran. And they say that when you want to start something, recite the supplication of Istikharah after the obligatory prayers.

اے اللہ میں تجھ سے تیرے علم کے ساتھ خیر کا مطالبہ کرتا ہوں اور تیری قدرت کے ساتھ قوت کا مطالبہ کرتا ہوں اور تجھ سے تیرے لیمفضل کا سوال کرتا ہوں اس لئے کہ و طاقت رکھتا ہے اور میں طاقت نہیں رکھتا اورتو جانتا ہے میں نہیں جانتا اور وہی نیوں کا جاننے والا ہے اے الله اگر تیرے علم میں یہ بات ہے کہ یہ کام میرے لیے میرے دین، میری معیشت اور میرے کام کے انجام میں بہتر ہے تو اسے میرے مقدر میں کردے اور اسے میرے لئے اس کو آسان کر دے پھر میرے لئے اس میں برکت ڈال دے اور اگر تیرے علم میں یہ بات ہے کہ یہ کام میرے لیے میرے دین، میری معیشت اور میرے کام کے انجام میں برا ہے تو اسے مجھ سے پھیر دے اور مجھے اس سے پھیر دے اور میرے مقدر میں بھلائی رکھدے جہاں بھی ہو پھر مجھے اس پر راضی کردے

Dua e Istikhara Translation in English

O Allah, I ask you for good with my knowledge and for your blessings and I ask you for your blessings because he has power and I do not have power and you know That i am not He is the Knower of the worlds. O Allah, if you know that this is better for me than my religion, my economy and the result of my work, then make it my destiny and make things easy for me.

Then bless me in it, and if you know that it is bad for me in my religion, my economy and the results of my work, take it away from me and return me to it and to my destiny. Do good wherever you are and then make me happy.

Istikharah Method

Method of Istikhara The place for Istikhara must be the place where the clothes and body are cleansed. Before going to bed at night, perform Durkat prayers with the intention of Istikhara. In the first rak’ah, recite Surah Al-Fatihah followed by Surah Al-Kafir (Surah No. 1). In the second rak’ah, after Surah Al-Fatihah, recite Surah Al-Ikhlas (Surah No. 1). After performing Phil, recite Dua e Istikhara in Arabic.

In Wa’i Istikhara, when it is in this word, therefore, think of your need in this place and name it. It occurs twice in Istikharah, so think twice about your need. Then go to sleep facing the qiblah. Try to sleep according to the Sunnah, it will be better. Inshallah, the intention with which the du’aa ‘of Istikharah was recited will be indicated in the dream. If one does not have such a dream, he should perform Istikharah again. Istikharah should be done for seven days. After Istikharah, if a person does good deeds, then Allah Almighty shows the full result.

But Allah Almighty shows a glimpse to a sinner like us. If work is beneficial for him, he will see happiness in dreams or such occasions that after waking up, he will automatically find peace of mind that yes, it is to work. And if it is harmful, then you will have nightmares. Or when you wake up, you will naturally feel hatred for this thing in your heart. In short, Allah Almighty will put such peace in your heart that your heart will be inclined towards doing or not doing what is good and beneficial for you.

استخارہ کیا ہیں اور کیوں کیا جاتا ہیں؟

استخارہ کیا ہیں ؟ کیوں کیا جاتا ہیں ؟ اسکی کیا ضرورت ہیں ؟ استخارہ کرنا ایک صحیح عمل ہیں یا نہیں ؟  ان سب سوالوں کا جواب ہم نےتفصیل کے ساتھ ذکر کیا ہیں غور سے پڑھ لیجئے۔  استخارہ مشورے کو کہتے ہیں ۔ انسان کی عقل اور رسد بہت محدود ہوتا ہیں۔ اگر ہم اپنے فیصلے خود کرتے ہیں تو شایدہ ہزار کاموں میں ایک کو پورا کیاجائے۔ اور اسی طرح اگر ہم کوئی کام کو شروع کرنا چاہتے ہیں یا ختم کرنا چاہتے ہیں یا کوئی بھی ایسا مسلہ ہو جہاں ہمارا سوچ کام نہیں کرتا جیسا کہ اگر کوئی شخص کاروبار کرنا چاہتے ہیں اور اس کا سوچ اور علم کاروبار کی شروعات تک محدود ہوتی ہیں ۔ اور آگے مسائل اور مستقبل میں کوئی بھی مصیبت اور فائدے سے بےخبر ہوتے ہیں۔  تو ایسے حالات میں انسان جب انسان کو اگے کوئی راستہ نہیں دکھائی دیتا۔ تو ایسے مواقع میں رجوع الی اللہ کرنا چاہیے کیونکہ اللہ تعالٰی ہمارا خالق و مالک ہیں ہمارے ماضی ، حال اور مستقبل بنانے والا صرف وہی ذات ہے۔ اگر ہم اس خالق سے مشورہ کریں جو ہمارا فائدہ اور نقصان سب جانتے ہے۔ تو مختصر یہ کہ استخارہ کرنا ہر کام سے پہلے ایک مستحب عمل ہیں کرنا چایئے کوئی نقصان نہیں۔ اور استخارہ احادیث سے ثابت ہیں۔ 

استخارہ کی حدیث

حضرت جابربن عبداللہ سے روایت ہیں کہ رسول اللہﷺ نے ہمیں سارے کاموں میں استخارہ کا حکم اسطرح دیتے تھے جس طرح قرآن کے احکامات بیات کرتے تھے۔ اور فرماتے ہیں کہ جب تم کوئی کام شروع کرنا چاہے تو فرض نماز کے بعد استخارہ کا دعا پڑھ لیں۔

استخارہ کا طریقہ استخارہ کے لئے جگہ لباس اور بدن کا پاک صاف ہونالازمی ہے۔ رات سونے سے پہلے دورکعت نمازنفل استخارہ کی نیت سے ادا کریں۔ اور اس طرح ادا کریں کے پہلی رکعت میں سورة فاتحہ کے بعد سورۃ کافروں (سورۃ نمبر۱۰۹) پڑھیں۔ دوسری رکعت میں سورة فاتحہ کے بعد سورة اخلاص (سورہ نمبر۱۲) پڑھیں۔ فل ادا کرنے کے بعد استخارہ کی دعا عربی میں پڑھیں۔ وعائے استخارہ میں جب یہ لفظ میں لهذا الأمر تو اس جگہ اپنی حاجت سوچ لیں  با نام لیں۔ یہ استخارہ میں دو بار آتا ہے اس لئے دو دفعہ اپنی حاجت کا سوچیں یانام لیں۔ اس کے بعد قبلہ کی طرف منہ کر کےسو جائیں کوشش کریں کہ سنت کے طریقے سے سوجائیں تو بہتر ہوگا۔ انشاءاللہ جس نیت سے دعائے استخارہ پڑھی تھی اس کام کے بارے میں خواب میں اشارہ ہو جائے گا۔ اگر کوئی ایسا خواب نہ ائے تو استخارہ دوبارہ کرے۔ استخاره کامل سات دن تک کرنا چاہیے۔ استخارہ کے بعد اگر انسان نیک عمل ہو تو پورا نتیجہ اللہ تعالٰی دکھاتا ہیں۔ لیکن ہمارے جیسے گنہگار کو اللہ تعالٰی کوئی جھلک دکھاتا ہے اگر کام اس کیلئے فائدہ مند ہو تو خواب میں خوشی یا ایسے مواقع دیکھے گی کہ جاگنے کے بعد خود بخود دل کی سکون مل جائے گی کہ ہاں یہ کام کرنا ہے۔ اور اگر نقصاندہ ہو تو پھر ڈراونی خواب دیکھو گے۔ یا جاگنے کے بعد قدرتی طور پر دل میں اس چیز سے نفرت محسوس ہوگی۔  مختصر یہ کہ اللہ تعالٰی آپ کے دل میں ایسا سکون ڈالیں گا کہ کام کرنا اور نہ کرنا جس میں آپ کیلئے خیر اور فائدہ ہو اس کی طرف آپ کا دل مائل ہوجائے گی۔
